The Ethereum Issuance Forum is a targeted event to increase transparency and build shared context surrounding research into Ethereum's issuance policy.

Hosted by the Ethereum Foundation Robust Incentives Group & Protocol Support team, the goal is to surface community considerations, trade-offs, and open questions to inform the research process.

This is not a decision-making body, but a space for exploration and understanding—bringing together researchers, validators, and community members for structured dialogue.

Common questions

Do I need an EthCC ticket to attend?

Yes. As the forum is hosted within the EthCC venue, a valid conference ticket is required for entry.

What is the goal of this forum?

The primary goal is to build context and reduce uncertainty. We are here to explore and inform, not to vote or finalize a specific policy. The output will be summaries of themes and considerations that help inform the broader research process.

How does registration work?

This is an event with limited capacity—approximately 85 attendees—to ensure productive discussion. Because space is limited, not all who apply will be able to attend.

Will the session be recorded?

Yes and no. The introductory presentations will be recorded and shared publicly. The forum discussion itself will not be recorded to allow participants to speak freely.
